The Full Story

Grounded Co. is an ambitious new venture in the coffee industry. A coffee brewing hub as opposed to a regular coffee shop. It aims to facilitate coffee as an element of culture and lifestyle by using its versatility to suite different people. It also aims to showcase coffee brewing as an artform and provide a space where exciting new ways of enjoying coffee can be explored. Grounded Co. intends to source coffee all around the world to provide our customers with variety and allow them to experience the world through the different blends from different regions, but it also hopes to expose them to local coffee farmers and support the South African roasting industry. One of the company’s leading goals is to make good quality coffee more accessible to average South African families, working families who might not have the time or equipment to prepare café-quality coffee at home every morning. They aim to do this by facilitating different, more efficient ways of brewing coffee.

The 3 The 3 product/service categories it
provides are:
1. Coffee beverages crafted and sold at our locations. This would include a large variety of regulation coffee drinks with diet-inclusive ingredients like almond milk and unprocessed honey all sourced locally to boost local industries. Along with these will be new, experimental drinks created by our in-house barista’s.
2. Coffee beans, ground coffee blends and instant coffee renders from all around the world that will be sold to customers for household use. These will be sold on location, but a delivery option will be available with a subscription to receive a bag of choice monthly from the business.
3.Classes for coffee brewing provided to our customers who want to be able to make good quality coffee at home and enjoy it as a hobby or South Africans who want to work as baristas and want to develop it as a skill to use in future jobs. This way the business could also play a part in reducing unemployment by making a small portion of the population more employable.
